Our Approach
Our impact will be applied and measured in three critical phases, where, as in building blocks and planting seeds, we start at the beginning of the educational journey. Nurture and care throughout means that the seed will grow into a strong and sturdy tree, giving life and shade.
Our programmes intervene at three critical phases in the educational journey:
Foundation phase – Primary School
Provide age-appropriate stimulation and and a love for reading, while having equipped teachers.
- To instill in the parents from early in the education process to be involved in schooling activities, and to promote reading and basic math skills by way of teacher-parent communication.
- The aim is to develop a solid academic foundation for beneficiaries, with strong life skills and resilience in order to be job-ready for the market. Emphasis will be on entrepreneurship, employability and education subject exposure through partnership agreements in support of the 3 Stream Model in schools.
- To further teacher-parent partnership and communication platforms for the benefit of the beneficiaries prior to leaving school.
- Facilitation of NQF qualifying vocational courses supporting entrepreneurship and trade training.
- Help to students applying for studies by providing funding
- Offer career counselling when needed through the help of partnerships.
- Job shadowing and internship placements where possible.
These programmes are supported by different projects, and by working together, we will be achieving the goals once deemed close to impossible in a broken society.
